The Day of the Dead is a celebration of Mexican Culture featuring alters, Aztec dancers and family fun. Guide the spirits of loved ones to the location of our Day of the Dead Celebration in front of the Metropolitan Museum. Join the procession of Aztec dancers, La Catrina and El Catrin, families, and friends as they walk down Mission Inn Avenue in solemn remembrance. Procession begins at Tio's Tacos on 3948 Mission Inn Ave at 6:30 p.m.
Altars - As a part of this traditional Mexican holiday, altars are made honoring deceased loved ones displaying their favorite foods, drinks, and personal belongings, as well as flowers and candles. Children’s Activities - Day of the Dead is a traditional celebration that commemorates the lives of those who have passed. Children will be able to learn about this festive day by creating cultural masks, traditional papel picado, and decorating sugar skulls.
Aztec Dancers - Ballet Folklorico de Riverside proudly participates in the 6th annual Día de los Muertos Celebration with a cultural tribute that celebrates life and death. Dancers and families will present Aztec danzas that invite the spirits of the deceased to dance and rejoice during this annual reunion. Performance will begin at 7 pm.
